Administrative Theory & Praxis is a leading quarterly journal of critical, normative, and theoretical dialogue in public administration. As the journal of the Public Administration Theory Network, its purpose is to advance knowledge and stimulate new thought in public administration.
ATP evolved from the Network's original informal publication called Dialogue. Richard Box and Michael Harmon have written wonderful histories of Dialogue, ATP, and PAT-Net. The journal's appearance has also changed over the years. Click here for a list of previous editors of Dialogue and ATP, and here for information about the content of prior volumes.
ATP is published by M.E. Sharpe with the generous support and assistance of the Eastern Washington University. It is indexed in Sage Public Administration Abstracts and full-text online in EBSCO Academic Search Premier and ProQuest ABI/INFORM. The contents of ATP from 2002 to the present are also available at MetaPress.
Currently, hard copies back issues of ATP are available on a limited basis. Cost for each hard copy is $20.00. Electronic copies of content from Dialogue and pre-2002 volumes of ATP may be requested from the editor on a case-by-case basis. To inquire about availability of print and electronic content, please contact the editor or contact our publisher, M.E. Sharpe. We are also pleased to announce that ATP has been selected for inclusion in the important J-STOR electronic archive of academic and scholarly research. The journal's content, going back to volume 1, is available. |
